CHARLES RADUENZ

Easter Lily      Charles ‘Charlie’ Raduenz, 70, Elcho, died Dec. 21, 2015, at home. He was born July 11, 1945, in Bloomington, Ill., to the late Lenore Raduenz. He married Kathy Kelly on Oct. 26, 1996, at Town of Norway.

He was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. He earned an associate’s degree from Dunwoody College of Technology.

He began his professional work life with Cutler-Hammer, Milwaukee. He retired in 2004 from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel after 32 years as a maintenance electrician. He volunteered as an EMT for the Waterford Fire Department. After retirement, he worked part time with the grounds crew at Rivermoor Golf Club, Waterford. He was a member of the Wind Lake Lions Club.

The most important thing in his life was his children and grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved his dogs, Rhoda, Elfie and Sam. He especially cherished his dog Sam. He was a skilled woodworker who enjoyed crafting special gifts for friends and family. He enjoyed following Wisconsin sports teams and was well known for his sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Heather (Bob) Ambacher, Mukwonago; son, Chuck (girlfriend Beth) Raduenz, Waterford; stepdaughters, Andrea Kapp, Milwaukee, Colleen (Chris) Huebsch, Mukwonago; sister-in-law, Kelly Kmichik, Elcho; grandchildren, Reese and Julia Raduenz, Charlie, Henry and Maxwell Ambacher, Kyle and Mollie Huebsch; cousins, Curt Christensen, Minocqua, Peter (Donna) Christensen, Waterford; nieces; nephews and close friends.

He was further preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronald Kmichik.

A funeral service was held Tuesday in Antigo. Burial took place in Elcho Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Jan. 3, 2-5 p.m., at the Cotton Exchange Banquet Hall, Waterford.
