CHARLES M. NOLL

Easter Lily      Charles M. Noll, 92, died Dec. 31, 2014, at his residence. He was born Aug. 2, 1922. to the late Alfred and Alice (Dobson) Noll.

The Noll family immigrated from Germany in the early 1800s and was one of the founding families of Waterford. They established the mercantile store, Noll’s Bank, which evolved and now is Associated Bank.

He graduated from Waterford High School and Marquette University with a degree in business administration.

He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and served in WWII. After the war he was a member of the Essman-Schroeder American Legion Post 20 for 68 years.

He was a hardworking businessman and very respected which allowed him to serve on many community boards. He was a philanthropist to his community especially the Waterford Library and many other community corner stones. He was an avid mineral collector and animal lover.

He had raised and shown chickens since he was five and for many years he had prize-winning chickens. His special companions were his cat Molly and dog Benji.

He leaves behind many family and friends.

Services are Thursday, Jan. 8, at Norway Lutheran Church, 6321 Heg Park Road, Wind Lake. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. to the time of service. There will be a memorial service 10:30 a.m., with a celebration luncheon immediately to follow at the Cotton Exchange, 345 Hickory Hollow Road, Waterford. Integrity Funeral Services, Waterford, is serving the family.
