CAROL J. WATSON

Easter Lily      Carol J. Watson, 72, Burlington, died Nov. 1, 2015, at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa. She was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Chicago, to the late Edward and Carol (Bunge) Berberich-Krueger. She spent her early life in Chicago where she attended Harriet Beacher Stowe Elementary and Tuley High School.

On June 6, 1959, in Chicago, she married Lawrence J. Watson. He preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1997. She moved to Burlington 14 years ago. She worked at Montgomery Ward for 25 years and after moving to Burlington, worked at Nestles for nine years before retiring.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, and spending time at Browns Lake. She loved the holidays and took great pride in all her decorating. She loved spending time with her family and grandkids.

Survivors include her children, Joan Watson, Larry (Debbie) Watson, Mary (Michael) Watson-Salmon; grandchildren, Nick Bleiler, Jaclyn Salmon, Matt Bleiler, Katie Watson; her brother, Edward (Bev) Berberich; cousins, Connie Boguslawske and Adrienne Murphy; nephew, Scott (Allyson) Berberich and his family, Zella and Clara.

She was further preceded in death by her cousin, Jack Hume.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bobustuc, Dr. Ragalie, and the staff at St. Luke’s and Zilber Hospice and all their family and friends who helped support her during her battle to survive cancer.

The family is asking that memorials go to Zilber Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Services are Saturday, Nov. 14, at noon at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with Chaplain Larry Williams officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Nov. 14, from 11 a.m., until the time of service. Private entombment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Ill.
