Agnes M. ‘Dolly’ Krien Reesman, 98, Burlington, died April 5, 2015, at Arbor View, in Burlington.
She was born May 17, 1916, in Chicago to the late Edward and Anna (Cullen) Traub. She spent her early life in Chicago where she graduated from high school.
On Aug. 29, 1936, she married Harold H. Krien at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dover. Following marriage they lived in Chicago before moving to Kansasville. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1983.
On April 29, 1989, Dolly married Albert Reesman and they made their home in Kansasville. Al preceded her in death on June 22, 1993.
She worked at Rudolph’s Grocery Store for over 28 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Dover and formerly a member of St. Charles in Burlington. She was active with the Order of Martha’s and enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Marilynn (Jim) Rueter, Paul Krien and Patricia Kranz (Gene Hafermann); stepchildren, Gregory (Sheryl) Reesman, Michael (Barbara) Reesman and Michelle (Dr. Mark) Wolff; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was further preceded in death by her sons, Robert and Tom Krien; grandchildren, Kimberly Krien and Brian Kranz; sisters, Margaret Kirkland, Rosemary Hackett; brother, Edward Traub and daughter-in-law, Nancy Krien.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Church – Dover and Catholic Central High School in Burlington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 9, at 1 p.m., at St. Mary’s Church – Dover with the Rev. Robert Kacalo presiding. Visitation is at the church on April 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow the service in St. Mary’s Cemetery – Dover. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
