William R. ‘Rob’ McCawley, 50, Burlington, died Jan. 20, 2014, at his home. He was born March 25, 1963, in Burlington, to George R. and Patricia E. (Beebe) McCawley. He spent his early life in Lake Shangri-La where he attended Salem Grade School and Westosha Central High School.

On Nov. 19, 1983, at Christ Lutheran Church in Paddock Lake, he married Kimberly Ann Melton. Following marriage they made their home in Twin Lakes and Wheatland before moving to Burlington 30 years ago.

He was a trade show carpenter with Chicago Carpenter’s Union, Local 10. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, sitting on the beach, and watching football. He enjoyed cooking, especially for family get-togethers and loved raising and caring for his animals. He loved and was devoted to his family.

Survivors include his wife; children, Dustin and Devin McCawley; his mother, Patricia (Dean) Olson; sisters, Ronda (Dave) Frook, Renee (Leroy) Boss, Marcy (Ken) Penge; sisters-in-law, Marina McCawley, Cindy (Russ) Hucker, Linda (Steven) Bates, Geraldine (John) Parat; brother-in-law, Butch (Josie) Melton; nieces and nephews, who were very near and dear to his heart; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cassidy Marie McCawley; father; brother, Ronald McCawley; his mother- and father-in-law, Harold and Geraldine Melton.

Services are Friday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with the Rev. Carolyn Sellers officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m.
