Robert ‘Bob’ Skwierawski, 71, Burlington, died Feb. 10, 2014, at Lakeland Health Care Center, Elkhorn. He was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 16, 1942, to the late Arthur and Phyllis (Jagodzinski) Skwierawski. He spent his early life in Milwaukee where he graduated from Pulaski High School. He was a member of the Army Reserves.

On May 19, 1973, at Plymouth Congregational Church, he married Mary Elizabeth Wilson. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington where they raised their family.

He worked at Gimbels as a manager in the shipping/receiving area. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was a Boy Scout leader, enjoyed camping, the outdoors and buck skinning. His family meant the world to him and he enjoyed every minute he spent with them.

Survivors include his wife; children, Thomas John Skwierawski, Burlington, Beth (Douglas) Woyak, Elkhorn, Jill (Daniel) Johnson, Elkhorn; grandchildren, Theodore Woyak, Quentin Woyak, Douglas Jr. ‘Deuce’ Woyak, Grace Woyak, Payton Johnson; his father-in-law, Dr. John A. Wilson, Burlington; sister-in-law, Jane (Larry) Hough, Virginia; three nieces; cousins; other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ruth Wilson.

Memorials are suggested to the Lombardi Cancer Foundation.

A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses who have taken care of and supported Robert over the years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. James Volkert officiating. Visitation is Feb. 15, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Burial will follow the Mass at Burlington Cemetery.
