Robert Raymond ‘Pops’ Wincek Sr., 84, of Barnes, died April 18, 2014, at Kindred in Burlington.
He was born in Chicago, on June 7, 1929, to the late Anthony and Mary (Wajda) Wincek. Barnes was heaven-on-earth to him since 1965.
Survivors include his children, Robert (Sandy) Wincek, New Berlin, Bernice Roosa, Burlington, Jeanine (Gary) Foszcz, Glendale, Ariz., Thomas Wincek, Fond du lac, Michael (Susan) Wincek, Summerfield, Fla., Jeffery (Denise) Wincek, Glendale, Ariz., Eric (Deb) Wincek, Mesa, Ariz.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was further preceded in death by his wives, Rita and Shirley; brother, John; sisters, Antoinette and Mary; son-in-law, Robert Roosa; daughter-in-law, Sharon Wincek; and grandson, Randy Conwell.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Kindred and Allay Home & Hospice for their care and compassion. Also to Randy & Gail for their helping hand while he lived in Barnes.
Private services will be held at a later date. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
