Robert Raymond ‘Pops’ Wincek, Sr., 85, of Barnes, died April 18, 2014, at Kindred Healthcare in Burlington.
He was born in Chicago, on June 7, 1929, to the late Anthony and Mary (Wajda) Wincek. Barnes was heaven-on-earth to him since 1965.
Survivors include his children, Robert (Sandy) Wincek, New Berlin, Bernice Roosa, Burlington, Jeanine (Gary) Foszcz, Glendale, Ariz., Thomas Wincek, Fond du lac, Michael (Susan) Wincek, Summerfield, Fla., Jeffrey (Denise) Wincek, Glendale, Ariz., and Eric (Debbie) Wincek, Mesa, Ariz.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was further preceded in death by his wives, Rita and Shirley; brother, John; sisters, Antoinette and Mary; son-in-law, Robert Roosa; daughter-in-law, Sharon Wincek and grandson, Randy Conwell.
A memorial service for Robert will be held Thursday, July 10, at 11 a.m., at Barnes Cemetery in Barnes. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
