Richard L. Schneider, 65, Burlington, died Feb. 14, 2014, at Aurora Memorial Hospital Burlington. He was born July 1, 1948, in Burlington, to the late Donald and Edith (Scheibe) Schneider. He lived his entire life in Burlington, attended St. Mary’s Grade School, and graduated from Burlington High School.
He was employed with Nestles for 23 years and Hypro Inc. for 21 years. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan. In his earlier years he enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling. He loved spending time at his special retreat in Spring Green.
Survivors include his siblings, James Schneider, Burlington, Kenneth Schneider, Burlington, Ruth (Bruce) Frederick, Harvard, Ill., Kathy Schneider, La Crosse; nieces and nephews, Brian (Elizabeth) Frederick, Amy (Adrian) Skinner, Camey Schneider, Penny (Terry) Harris, Carrie (Dave) Zeitsma, Doreen (Don) Melenchuk, Mike (Karen) Conrad; many great-nieces and nephews.
He was further preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Betty Conrad Schneider.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Burlington Hospital for their care and compassion.
