Regina I. Gibour, 54, Burlington, died Feb. 26, 2014, at her residence. She was born March 10, 1959, to Richard and Irene (Ferencz) Petrinec in Chicago. Her early life was spent in Chicago, before her family moved to Wisconsin.
She married the late Daniel Gibour in Rockford, on Sept. 21, 1980. Following marriage they resided in Illinois before moving to Salem. After Daniel passed she moved to Burlington.
She was an animal lover, especially caring for dogs and horses. She enjoyed traveling, and had traveled all over the world. One of her other favorite crazes was chocolate. But, more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her mother; sisters, Michelle Kwitkowski and Audrey (Tyler) Rothbauer; nieces and nephews, Richard Kwitkowski, Douglas Kwitkowski and Janay Rothbauer.
She was further preceded in death by her father, and her four-legged friend, Charlie.
A private family service will be held. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, is serving the family.
