Maryann Raabe, 82, Waterford, died July 6, 2014, at her home at Elder Care Cottages.
She was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 29, 1932, to the late Joseph and Frances (Skwrawski) Bujka. She spent her early life in Milwaukee where she attended school.
In her younger days she was an excellent roller skater and it was at Palomar Roller Rink that she met her future husband. On Sept. 12, 1949, in Milwaukee, she married the love of her life, Kenneth H. Raabe. Following marriage they made their home in New Berlin before moving to Waterford in 1975. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2006.
She worked at various places over the years, retiring from Northern Engineering after many years. She enjoyed gardening and taking days trips with her husband, but her biggest love was her family. She always loved any time she could spend with them.
Survivors include her children, Scott Raabe, Ted Raabe, Pamela (Brian) Pugh, Kathleen Raabe; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Joseph (Donna) Bujka.
The family would like to thank the staff at Elder Care Cottages and Dr. Jolanta Twardy for their care and compassion over the years.
The family is planning a private service for Maryann. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
