Marianne L. (Zimmer) Lukas, 83, Waterford, died unexpectedly on Nov. 28, 2014. A lifelong resident of Waterford, she was born on Nov. 10, 1931, to the late Arno and Elenora (Nickel) Zimmer.
She married Peter A. Lukas on May 17, 1952. She was a member of Caldwell United Methodist Church. She worked in and retired from the family drugstore Zimmer’s Pharmacy in Waterford. She was a past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Waterford.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Grant, Eagle River, Tom (Kay), Rochester, Peter (Bonnie), Rochester; grandchildren, Charlie, Will, Sarah, Louisa, Stephen, Ashley, Amanda and Aubrey; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Parker, Elise, Adeline, Grayson and Levi; other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her brothers, Arno and Bill, and a sister, Lenore.
A memorial gathering with family and friends is Saturday, Dec. 27, from 10 a.m.-noon with services starting at noon at Caldwell United Methodist Church, 8504 Caldwell Road, Mukwonago. Memorials are suggested to Caldwell United Methodist Church. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.

So sorry but life goes on. The Zimmers and the drug store are old and cherished memories. Many years ago my parents where good friends of Arno and his family. Marianne and I swam at their house on Fox Isle while our parents visited, probably when I was 10. A few years ago I saw Marianne at Pic & Save we said hi and a bit of old times. It is difficult to loose old friends but so Happy for the memories.
