JUNE D. DUCOMMUN

Easter Lily

June Dorothy (Boyan) Ducommun, 88, Waterford, died peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital on March 11, 2014.  She was born June 8, 1925, to the late Frank and Amanda Boyan in West Allis.

She lived on the family farm in Waterford until the last few years of her life. She graduated from Waterford High School and married the late Willis James Ducommun. Together they raised three children two of whom continue to live on the family farmstead.

She worked for many years as the secretary of Norway Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being a volunteer of the woman’s group at the church for many years.

She spent the last five years of her life writing every day and had been working on a book of her family’s ancestry with her sister, Glady. She was very crafty and loved knitting, leaving many beautiful family heirlooms to be treasured. She was known to rescue and care for the wildlife around her, raising a fawn to adulthood and even having a squirrel that came in and out of the house.

She loved being around her family and made a wonderful home for them. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children, Karen Schuckman, James (Sandy) Ducommun, Roger (Pam) Ducommun; grandchildren, Barbara Schuckman, Sarah (Grant) Juschka, Emma Ducommun, Curtis (Debbie) Ducommun, Kyle Ducommun (Casey Stefanski), and Maranda Ducommun; great-grandchildren, Tyger, Mia, and Grace Juschka and Chloe Ducommun; her sister, Glady Sheard.

She was further preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Schuckman; and her brother-in-law, Warren Sheard.

Visitation is Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m., with a memorial service at 11 a.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, W124 S9995 North Cape Road, Muskego. Miller-Reesman Funeral Home, Union Grove, is serving the family.
