JEANNE M. LYNN

Easter Lily      Jeanne M. Lynn, 90, died Nov. 26, 2014, at Wisconsin Veterans Home, Union Grove.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on Sept. 14, 1924, to the late James and Grace (Gehres) Creevey. She grew up in Berwick, Pa., where she graduated from high school and entered nurses training.

On Feb. 5, 1946, she married Willard L. Lynn. They met while both were serving in the U.S. Army. She was a WAC from 1945-1946, obtaining the rank of CPL. During this time she completed Surgical Technical School in El Paso, Texas. Following their service time they lived in Manhattan, Kan., until Willard graduated from Kansas State University. Following graduation they moved to Racine County where they raised their family. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2001.

She was a homemaker and assisted her husband with his veterinary office in Franksville. They moved to Burlington when Willard’s job brought him here as vice president and director of marketing for Murphy Feeds and later as vice president and director of technical services for C&D Foods. They remained in the area until retirement.

Survivors include her children, Kandace Lynn, Minocqua, Barbara (Joe Dawulski) Lynn, McFarland, Jeffery (Carolyn) Lynn, Julian, Calif., Thomas (Terri) Lynn, Racine, Lori McGowan (Mark Kintop), Wind Lake; grandchildren, Shannon (Jeff) Bohmann, Jamie (Bill) Rafeldt, Daniel (Katie) McGowan, Scott Lynn, Erin McGowan, Catherine Lynn, Sara Lynn; six great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Kalei (Darci) Baker, Stephanie (Keith) Sanford, Shannon (Matthew) McCabe, Stacey Martinez; 15 step great-grandchildren; and brothers, Robert Creevey and Richard Creevey, Baltimore, Md.

She was further preceded in death by her brothers, James Creevey, Daniel Creevey; sister, Grace Creevey; grandson, Brian Delaney and son-in-law, Charles Stephens Jr.

A memorial service is Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 6-7 p.m., with a brief service beginning at 7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Internment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Janesville.
