EVELYN A. PITTS

Easter Lily

Evelyn A. Pitts, 87, Union Grove, died March 7, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Kenosha, on Jan. 19, 1927, to the late George and Madeline Marx Herrmann. She was educated in the Kenosha school system and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High.

On May 13, 1950, she married Albert ‘Buddy’ Pitts at St. George Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2012.

She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Union Grove, and was the Religious Education Director at the church for many years.

Survivors include her children, Mary Ann (Frederick) Dawson, Milwaukee, James Albert (Elise) Pitts, Racine, Joseph Daniel Pitts, Sturtevant, Regina Marie (James) Neist, Eagle, Margaret Mary (Bryce Keel) Pitts, Madison, Catherine Mary (David) Zabler, Franklin, Monica Mary (Bob) Rushing, Union Grove, Evelyn Mary (Daniel) Amundson, New Berlin; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Bea) Herrmann and George (Donna) Herrmann.

She was further preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rachel Rushing; her brother, Bernard (Amy) Herrmann; sisters, Mary Ann (John) Munger and Catherine (Francis) Collova.

Visitation will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 3320 S Colony Ave, Union Grove, on Thursday, March 13, starting with a family Rosary Service at 3:30 p.m., followed by the visitation from 4-7 p.m., and will continue on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m., until time of Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be held privately at St. George Cemetery in Kenosha.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the caregivers who lovingly assisted our mother over the past two years.
