Eileen Mehring, 78, Burlington, died April 30, 2014, at East Troy Manor. She was born Aug. 25, 1935, to the late Fred and Florence (Johnson) Runge in Owatonna, Minn. Her early life was spent in Meriden where she graduated from Owatonna High School.
In 1953 she married Edwin Mollé. Together they had three sons. In 1971 she married James R. Mehring. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2011. They lived in Burlington before retiring to the Gratiot area.
She had worked for Ace Hardware as a sales clerk for years in both Burlington and Antioch. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She loved her many pets, birds, cats and dogs.
Survivors include her children, Devry (Margaret) Molle’, Burlington, Dennis Mollé and Kevin Mollé, Hanson, Ky., Glenn Mehring, Union Grove, James (Dawn) Mehring, Russell (Lori) Mehring, Linda (Dale) Warren, Burlington; grandsons, Mark (Debra) Mollé, Jason (Jaclyn) Mollé, Brandon (Heather) Mollé, Eric (Laura) Mollé, Ross (Jessica) Molle’; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at East Troy Manor and to Allay Hospice for all their care and compassion.
A visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 6, from 4-7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. A private burial will take place on Wednesday at Burlington Cemetery.
