DARLENE S. WOOLEVER

Easter Lily

Darlene S. Woolever, 61, Sugar Creek, died  March 21, 2014, at Aurora Lakeland Hospital. She was born in Elkhorn, March 24, 1952, to the late Richard and Dorothy (Lasco) Drew. She spent her early years in Burlington where she attended school.

On Dec. 11, 1996, she married Richard L. Woolever. Following marriage they made their home in Elkhorn.

She worked in housekeeping for different resorts in the area and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. She was an awesome wife, mom, grandma, loving sister and friend. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, collecting Indian artifacts, was an avid cat lover, enjoyed latch hooking, and spending time outdoors, walking.

Survivors include her husband, Elkhorn; sons, Richard (Jessica) Mundt, Elkhorn, Mark Mundt, Burlington; stepchildren, Gordon Lee, Shawn Allen, Monica Jean (Bernard), Lynette Ann (Dennis); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with one on the way; sisters, Linda (Raymond) Langdon, Mary Ramirez, Viola Johnson; a brother, Paul Drew; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her brother, David Drew, and nephew, Darrel J. Stone.

The family would like to thank the staff at Holton Manor, Lakeland Hospital, Dr. Hobbs and Jenny Duesterbeck for all their care and support given to Darlene.

Services were March 24, at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, with family friend, Bill Sheppard officiating. Burial was in Hudson Cemetery. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, served the family.
