BEVERLY LEHMAN

Easter Lily

Beverly ‘Muff’ Lehman, 81, died peacefully, Feb. 13, 2014, at her winter home in Cocoa, Fla., surrounded by family.

She was born and raised during the great depression in Kenosha. Following marriage she and her husband made their home in Burlington where they raised their seven children.

She was a co-owner of Fritz & Muff’s Tavern in Bohners Lake where you could always find Muff tending bar with a smile. The tavern holds many fond memories for all. A great place for horseshoes, volleyball, and always playing the jukebox. Fritz and Muff were also very involved in local charities, as well as hosting the occasional party or pig roast in the backroom. After retiring, they spent winters in Cocoa, for the past 20 years where they made a great many friends over the years.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years Frederick ‘Fritz’ Lehman; children, Kenny Lehman, Cocoa, Cindy (Dale) Long, New Richmond, Danny (Karen) Lehman, Kansasville, Debbie (Gary) Colerider, Rockledge, Fla.; two sisters; one sister-in-law; two brothers; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many, many great friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law; infant daughter, Kathy; sons, Frederick Jr. and Bill, as well as her brother, John.

She loved people, and they loved her. She loved yard sales, the shake of the day, and going for a ride. She will be greatly missed by all.

Services are Saturday, June 21, at 2 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with burial to follow in Burlington Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Saturday, at the funeral home from noon-2 p.m.
