BERNADETTE J. LYNCH

Bernadette J. ‘Betty’ Lynch, 79, Burlington, died March 30, 2014, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee.

She was born April 19, 1934, in Milwaukee, to the late Raymond and Irene (Kulinski) Sikora. She spent her early life in Milwaukee where she graduated from Pulaski High School.

On July 23, 1970, in Missouri, she married Roma ‘Romy’ Lynch. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington where they raised their family. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1984.

She worked at the Southern Wisconsin Center as a Resident Care Technician. She attended St. Charles Church and enjoyed gardening, reading, quilting and had a love of animals, acquiring many stray pets over the years.

Survivors include her children, Debra L. (David) Black, Williams Bay, Robin R. Bretsch, Burlington, Melanie (Robert) Langley, Burlington, Scott R. (Maureen) Bretsch, Burlington, Robert J. Bretsch, West Allis, Skye R. (Andrew) Lemke, Burlington; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marcia (Donald) Carter, Tennessee, and Patsy Pawlowski, Milwaukee.

She was further preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christie; brother, Richard Sikora; sister, Carol Lindberg.

Private services for Betty will be held at a later date. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
