ALICE T. PAUKNER

Easter Lily      Alice T. Paukner, 76, Burlington, died Sept. 30, 2014, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee.

She was born in Poland on April 27, 1938, to the late Walter and Leokadia (Bielicka) Triebe. She spent her early life in Poland and Germany where she attended school.

On June 20, 1959, in Chicago, she married Joseph Paukner. Following marriage they made their home in Chicago and Lancing, Ill., where they raised their family. They moved to Burlington in 1998. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2006.

She worked as a manager for Kohl’s Department Store in Calumet City, Ill. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, and working on various craft projects some that were used to decorate her home.

Survivors include her sons, Joseph (Renee) Paukner, Brighton, Richard (Rebecca) Paukner, Pleasant Prairie; sister, Christine Mach; two nieces; a nephew; a great niece; three great nephews and special friend, Gary Frighetto.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 3, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 7 p.m., with the Rev. James Volkert officiating. Visitation is Oct. 3, from 3-6:15 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive. Burial is Saturday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City.
