ROSEMARY T. EARL

Easter Lily

Rosemary T. Earl, 95, Rochester, died peacefully on Dec. 27, 2013. She was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 25, 1918, to the late George and Mae Lukaszewski. She spent her early life in Milwaukee where she graduated from St. Mary’s Academy High School.

On July 25, 1944, she married the late Harley O. Earl.  They lived in Hales Corners for many years. It was there that she was a meat wrapper for National T and a member of the Meat Wrappers Local Union. She was an artist who enjoyed painting, and was a current member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and a former member of St. Mary’s Church, Hales Corners. She was proud to be a founding member of the Hales Corners Home Makers. After retirement, Harley and Rosemary moved to Waterford where she was active in the Waterford Seniors.

Survivors include her son, Thomas H. (Juliana) Earl Sr., Rochester; grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer (Kyle) Earl-Foss, Elizabeth (Benjamin) Zoch, Thomas H. Earl Jr., Patrick F. Earl, and their mother, Valerie J. Earl; and grandchildren, Robert Steger and Melissa Steger; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Emily Steger; sisters-in-law, Lucille Lukaszewski and Billie (Chuck) Meakin; her good friend, Juliana’s mother, Nancy M. Julich; and other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her brother, Erwin Lukaszewski; grandson, Kevin Steger.

Funeral Mass was Dec. 30, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Private Inurnment alongside of her husband at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee will be held at a later date. Her family suggests memorials be made to the St. Thomas School Endowment Fund. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.
