Rick J Anderson-Kieffer, 53, Washington, Iowa, formerly of Waterford, died at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City on Sept. 19, 2013. He was born in Marshfield, to Roger and Noreen ‘Neenie’ (Hytry) Kieffer, Rochester. He was a graduate of St. Francis LaSalle. He also obtained two Masters Degrees. He was owner/operator of a specialized trucking company.
He married Ellen T. (Banna) Anderson on Feb. 12, 2005. He was much loved by family, friends and all who new him.
Survivors include his wife; children, Kyle and Emily; parents; sisters and brothers; Carla Kieffer (Carl) Lancour, Donna (Dale) Zahn, Brenda (James) Shecterle, Paula Kieffer (Jeff) Caldwell and Roger (Sarah) Kieffer; mother-in-law, Rosaline ‘Rose’ Banna; sisters and brothers-in-law, Katherine (Lee) Aman, Barbara (Nick) Danza, MaryBeth (Mik) Kafka, Paulette (Malcolm) Fowlie, Denise Banna and Susan Banna; 18 nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 3-5:45 p.m., with remembrance services at 6 p.m., which will include a time to share special memories, at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford. The Rev. Larry Williams will officiate.
Memorial Mass is Thursday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 S. First St., Waterford.
