Patricia A. ‘Pat’ (deGuerre) Kovatz, 88, Burlington, formerly of the Town of Norway, died peacefully on Oct. 6, 2013, at Arbor View Assisted Living in Burlington.
She was born in Chicago, on March 17, 1925. She was a telephone operator for Illinois Bell. She and her family moved to the Town of Norway in Racine County where they raised beef and sheep on the farm.
She married Larry Kovatz and they lived in West Allis for some time. After Larry died in 1989, she returned to the farm. She had lived in Burlington for the past few years. She was an animal lover and especially adored her cats.
Survivors include her nieces, Regina (Brian) Rickel, Boulder, Colo., Pat Holcom and Georgia Jean (Frank) Hill; nephews, Rob, John and Paul Brown.
She was further preceded in death by her sisters, Toni and Jeanne, and brother, Pierre’.
A private burial at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery has taken place.
Her family suggests memorials be made in Pat’s memory to a local Humane Society. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, served the family.
