MICHAEL R. BELAU


Michael R. Belau, 55, Burlington, died Sept. 1, 2013, at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington.
He was born Sept. 24, 1957, in Janesville, to Robert and Beverly (Kopp) Belau. He grew up and attended schools in Janesville, Oshkosh and Delavan where he graduated from Delavan-Darien High School before attending Milton College.
He was the office and safety manager for Certified Power in Elkhorn.
On June 16, 1979, at Cross Lutheran Church, he married Nancy Phillips. He had been a resident of Burlington since 1977, where he and Nancy made their home.
He loved his Lord and was a loving husband and father. He was a member of Cross Lutheran Church, loved watching the Packers, enjoyed music and movies, but most of all loved watching his son play sports.
Survivors include his wife; son, Stephen; parents; sisters, Linda (Ron) Schultz, Karen Belau, Kathy Belau; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Carole Phillips; sisters-in-law, Sherry (Tom) Janke, Linda (Randy) Schroeder, Debbie (Mike) French, Barb (Gye) An, Kathy (Andy) Dorn; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Services are Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at noon at Cross Lutheran Church with the Rev. Carolyn Sellers officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m., at the church. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
