MARIA PAVLOVICH

Maria (Mutzl) Pavlovich, 86, Waterford, died Dec. 29, 2012, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Munich, Germany, on Jan. 30, 1926.

Maria and her family immigrated to the U.S.A. with $40 to their name in 1950. She and her husband worked extremely hard to learn their new language and to earn and save money to buy their first home in Milwaukee. They continued to work at various jobs and over time purchased land and built their lifelong home in Waterford. Maria had and used her many talents throughout her life. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, doll making, sewing and more. She loved nature and was often found nursing small animals in distress back to health.

Among the many jobs she held, Maria was first a quality control inspector at Foster Forbes Burlington plant, head seamstress at the Lake Geneva Playboy Club in the late 60s and lastly retired from Nestle Chocolate in 1991.

Survivors include her son, Dusan (Kristy) Pavlovich; granddaughters, Lisa (Dan) Mazurkiewicz, Angie (Justin) Pavlovich, Mason of Milwaukee; great-granddaughters, Allie and Tori Mazurkiewicz; very special cousin, Hilda Grohovac and her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nikola.

Private family services and burial will take place at a later date. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.

The family would like to extend their sincere love and appreciation to her lifelong friends and neighbors, Aurora VNA Hospice staff and volunteers and Waterford Senior Living for the care, compassion and understanding shown to Maria.
