Linda J. Bratz, 59, Ives Grove, died Dec. 25, 2013, at her home. She was born June 23, 1954, to Glenn and Jeanette (Brown) Voge in Racine. Her early life was spent in Ives Grove. She received her nursing degree from Gateway Technical College.
On Aug. 17, 1985, she married Eugene Alfred Bratz. Following marriage they resided in Ives Grove. She was a beautician at the Hair Shoppe for 25 years before beginning her nursing profession. She was employed by the Southern Wisconsin Center as an RN, was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Yorkville 4-H and the Racine County Extension Homemakers. She was an avid reader and an excellent baker. She loved to bake, especially for the Racine County Fair. She took home many blue ribbons and outstanding exhibitor ribbons for her baking entries.
Survivors include her children, Evan Eugene (Mariah Fairbanks) Bratz and Samuel Glenn Earl Bratz; her father; siblings, Steven (Ann) Voge, Mary (Ed) Adams, Daniel (Diane) Voge; her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Dale (Judy) Bratz, Evelyn (Wayne) Evans, John Thompson, Ruth Bratz, Mary Ann Bratz, Lynn (Dale) Noble, Lori (Gary Hummelt) Bratz, Eleanor (Jeff) Adams, Gloria (Martin) Ramirez; mother-in-law, Fay Bratz; nieces; nephews; great- nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years; her mother; nephew, Joseph Glenn Jamison; father-in-law. Earl ‘Bub’ Bratz; sister-in-law, Joan Bratz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
Memorial service was Dec. 28, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Peters officiating. Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Union Grove, served the family.
