Helen I. Spesak, 78, West Allis, formerly of Waterford, died Sept. 15, 2013, with her loving daughters by her side.
She was born in Butternut, on March 22, 1935, to the late Carl and Martha (Teschner) Scharp.
In August of 1965 she married Joseph B. Spesak in Ashland. He died Dec. 28, 1994. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time at the Burlington Senior Center and recently at the West Allis Senior Center. She loved to walk the streets of Waterford, visiting her favorite restaurants. She also enjoyed music and traveling.
Survivors include her daughters, Gloria (Steve) Rios, Milwaukee, Phyllis (Khay) Spesak-Khong, Milwaukee, Tina Kloss, Jefferson, Judith Spesak, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; grandchildren, Kayla, Steven and Kassie; brother, Bernard; favorite K-9 buddy, Ju Ju; other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her brother, Edward.
Services are Saturday, Sept. 21, at noon at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St. Waterford. Visitation is Saturday from 10-11:45 a.m. Burial is in St. Thomas Cemetery following services.
In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy the family suggests memorials be made to the Milwaukee Humane Society.
