Harold A. Meyer, 90, Waterford, died Jan. 9, 2013, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born in the Town of Spring Prairie on Dec. 7, 1922, to the late Arthur and Fannie (Potter) Meyer. He attended the Rochester Ag School.
On June 22, 1957, he married Lucille B. Huening. They were residents of Waterford since 1966.
He was in business for some time with Meyer Nelson Construction in Waterford and later operated large equipment for A.W. Oakes and Sons, and also Payne and Dolan. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. He proudly followed his religion and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Waterford. He was an avid Packer Fan.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mary (Ron) Kurer and Margaret Meyer; five grandchildren; brother, Eugene of Burlington; brother-in-law, Dick (Marcia) Huening, Waterford; other relatives and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Kurer.
Visitation is Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 10-10:45 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 S. First St., Waterford. Burial will be in the church cemetery following Mass. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy the family suggests memorials to either St. Thomas Church or St. Thomas School. Mealy Funeral Home, Inc., Waterford, is serving the family.
