FRED FERRELL

Easter Lily

Fred Ferrell, 74, Deerbrook, died Nov, 9, 2013, at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was born on April 19, 1939, in Tennessee, to the late Clara Belle Ferrell.

He married Nancy Wilke on Dec. 27, 1958, in Milwaukee.

He served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 2, 1958, to May 16, 1962, stationed in Germany and continued his service in the U.S. Army Reserves being honorably discharged on Sept. 1, 1964.

He was a machinist for Briggs and Stratton in West Allis for 30 years retiring in 2003. He moved to Deerbook from Burlington in 2005.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends at the cabin in Deerbrook.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Melody (Robert) Bernard, Burlington, Violet Clausen; son, Jerry (Christine) Ferrell, Rosemount, Minn.; grandchildren, Nicholas (Courtney) Gardner, East Troy, Nicole Shilling, Minneapolis, Scott Turner, Crystal, Catherine, Calvin and Cassandra Clausen, Kacey and Mason Ferrell, both Rosemount, Minn.; great-granddaughter, Calan Shilling; sisters, Irene Hollis, Tennessee, Ruth (Layton) Phillips, Indiana, Etta (Tom) Colwell, and Barb Willett, both Wisconsin; brothers, Bud (Pat) Smith, N.M., Pat (Missy) Reynolds, Kentucky, Mike Reynolds of Wisconsin; and his faithful friend, Breeze.

He was further preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Keehn; and brothers, CL Vickers, Charlie Reynolds, and Tommy Reynolds.

Burial will take place at a later date at the Lakeside Cemetery in Kempster. Bradley Funeral Home & Crematory, Antigo, is serving the family.
