Evelyn H. (Kappel), Reesman, 93, Town of Norway, died peacefully on April 2, 2013, at Oak Ridge Care Center.
She was born Jan. 27, 1920, to the late Henry and Hattie (Trebus) Kappel in Milwaukee.
She married William Reesman on June 1, 1946, at St. Bonafice Church, Milwaukee. Together they raised seven children. He preceded her in death.
She was a devoted mother who made a wonderful home for her family. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas Parish and was part of the Christian Mother’s Society. She was a member of the Waterford/Rochester Senior’s Club and enjoyed playing sheepshead with Bill, relatives and friends. She was a Brewer’s fan and enjoyed watching baseball games and attended many of her grandchildren’s games.
Survivors include her children, Charles (Sue), Tulsa, Okla., Leroy, Watertown, David (Nancy), Racine, Patricia (Brian) Kimball, Town of Norway, Kenneth, Town of Norway, Karen (Dan) Daluge, Waukesha, Curtis, Burlington; grandchildren, Dennis (Tanya), Rebecca (Glen), David, Jr. (Michelle), Timothy, Angela (Ron), Benjamin (Jade), Elizabeth, Jennifer (Jay), Dawn, Ryan, Dayna, and Dannie; eight great-grandchildren; her brothers-in-law, Lester Braun and Martin (Dorothy) Reesman; her sisters-in-law, Genevieve Reesman, Dolly Reesman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was further preceded in death by siblings, Robert, Ramon, and Dolores.
Visitation is Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m., until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Waterford. The Rev. Gene Doda, will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Miller-Reesman, Kasuboski, Haas, and Dahl Funeral Home, Union Grove, is serving the family.
