Brian Alex Acker, 59, Waterford, died unexpectedly at his residence on Nov. 2, 2013. He was born Nov. 19, 1953, in Burlington, to Ivan and Joanne Acker.
He was a lifelong resident of Waterford, graduating from St. Thomas Grade School and Waterford Union High School. He loved his gardening, dart leagues and hunting, but most of all he loved and cherished his family.
Survivors include his son, Keith Acker; daughter, Kelly Acker (Paul Russell), Waterford; grandchildren, Trinity Acker, Mukwonago, and Sloan Russell; brother, Dennis (Linda) Acker, Rochester; sisters, Doreen Scasny, Waterford, Diane (James) Schnell, Rochester, Laura (Chuck) Schlichting, Stanley, Sarah (Tim) Mitchell, Wheatland; his mom (II), Verna Acker, Waterford; special Aunt Rita Schweitzer, Waterford; many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial gathering is Friday, Nov. 8, from 4-7 p.m., with services to follow at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are suggested.
