Anita C. Heffron, 68, Burlington, died Dec. 18, 2013, at her home after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 21, 1945, in Kenosha, to the late Theodore and Ella (Reuter) Schulte.
She married Lynn W. Heffron May 27, 1967. She began her working career at Kenosha Regional Airport. Soon after marriage she and her husband owned and operated two restaurants.
After being widowed early, she devoted her life to raising her four children who will forever remember her as a ‘true gem’.
Survivors include her children, Hilarie (John) Vail, Dubuque, Iowa, Heather (Brett) Martinsen, Union Grove, Lynn (Michelle) Heffron, New Berlin, Hedy (Brad) Durbin, Lyons; grandchildren, Victoria, Emily, Nathan, Nicholas, Joseph, Hunter, Charley; her sister, Sharon (Steve) DeLance, Elgin, Ill; an aunt, Teddy Bloch; niece, Lisa Litle; cousin, Sue Stengert.
She was further preceded in death by her sister Rita Lund, and brother, Ted Schulte.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joe Majewski and staff, Dr. Haider and staff and hospice nurse, Shelly.
As per Anita’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Steinke Funeral Home & Cremation Services are serving the family.
