MARY A. LINDER


Mary A. Linder, 52, Burlington, died Dec. 14, 2012, at Kindred Nursing and Rehab in Burlington.

She was born May 7, 1960, in Burlington, to Norbert J. and Helene M. (Johannes) Linder. She spent her early life in Tichigan and attended Sunny Grove School in Union Grove until age 21. She was previously employed by the Racine County Opportunity Center.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved giving out hugs. She spent time singing to the Statler Brothers and was a long time participant of the Wis. Special Olympics. Her favorite pastimes included bowling, singing and word searches and her favorite color was purple. She never passed up a good prime rib, a bowl of ice cream, or a McDonald’s hamburger. Most of all Mary loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her mother, Helene Linder, Waterford; siblings, Margaret (Jim) Treffinger, Waterford, Richard (Bonny) Linder, Howell, Mich., Carol (Mike) Harry, Waterford; sister-in-law, Sharon (Peter) Vlaj, Greendale.

She was preceded in death by her father, and her brothers, Dan and Jerry.

Visitation is Thursday, Dec. 20, from 4 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford. The Rev. Gene Doda will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Washington on Friday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.

The family would like to express a special thank you to all the staff at Kindred Nursing & Rehab and the Aurora Hospice VNA staff, especially Connie, and Dr. Michael Earing and his nurse, Jane, for all their care and dedication.
