Balloonfest returns to Waterford Saturday

Glowing hot air balloons light up a dusky sky during a previous Balloonfest. The Waterford Union High School District will host the event again on Saturday. The balloon launch window is from 6 to 7:30 a.m., weather permitting. The event includes games, food, crafts and other activities.

Hot air balloon lovers will have to rise early Saturday, July 16, to witness the launch of several colorful balloons at the start of Waterford’s Balloonfest.

Weather permitting, the launch window is 6 to 7:30 a.m. at Waterford Union High School, 611 W. Main Street.

The event is free, but there is a $10 parking fee (cash only).

The highlight of the day is the launching of the majestic, multicolored hot air balloons.
