Waterford Graded School District Administrator Christopher Joch has given notice that he will resign from his position, effective June 30.

In a Jan. 28 letter to the school board, Joch said he had found it very fulfilling to serve the community the past nine years as a District leader, and to be part of positioning the District on solid ground financially and programmatically to benefit student learning.

“My wish for the District is to sustain its significant qualities and continue to shape a prosperous future. I look forward to our continued partnership as we conclude another successful school year!” Joch wrote.

Joch told the Waterford Post via email Tuesday that his plans for next year have not yet been finalized. “At this point, I’m deliberating the options,” he said.

School board president Douglas Schwartz said the board will meet Monday night with a representative of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards to discuss the upcoming search for a new superintendent.
