Voters in the villages of Waterford and Rochester and those in the towns of Waterford, Norway, Dover and Raymond who live in the Waterford Union High School district will vote Tuesday, Feb. 19, in a primary election.
The top four vote getters in the primary election will advance to the Tuesday, April 2, general spring election.
The five WUHS candidates by order on Tuesday’s ballot are James Graff, the incumbent board president; challenger Dan Jensen; Nancy Klemko, the incumbent board clerk; challenger Deanna Stever; and challenger Sandra L. Schwartz.
While the high school primary is generating the most interest locally, voters in this area and throughout the state will also narrow the field of candidates for state Supreme Court justice, from three to two.
In that primary, incumbent Justice Pat Roggensack is challenged by Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone and lemon law attorney Vince Megna. The top two will advance.
All polling places in Racine County will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. In-person absentee (early) voting in the clerks’ offices is available until the end of business on Friday, Feb. 15.
