Dousman Transport officials are continuing to examine elementary school bus routes, as the start to the 2013-14 school year draws closer for Waterford Graded School District students and their families.

The routes for elementary school students are being tweaked in the aftermath of a decision to combine routes for middle-schoolers and Waterford High School students this coming year.

The change has reportedly saved the Waterford Graded and high school districts a combined $55,000 in transportation costs.

While the routes for middle- and high-schoolers have been solidified, Rob Nelson, president and general manager of Dousman Transport, said the company continues to review scenarios for elementary students.

Waterford Graded and the high school both contract with Dousman Transport to bus students to and from school.
