Adding insult to injury, a Waterford man went to jail after his wife reportedly injured him after running him over with their pickup truck.

According to the criminal complaint filed in Racine County Circuit Court:

Police were summoned to the Ratz Nest bar May 26, where they observed Kenneth Kremnitzer, 47, bleeding from his nose and mouth and complaining of back pain.

Witnesses told police that Kremnitzer and his wife, Pamela, had been arguing and drinking at the bar.

Witnesses said Pamela Kremnitzer left the bar and shortly thereafter, Kenneth also went outside.

Witnesses said Pamela was driving a red pickup truck and they observed her back up, crashing the truck into Kenneth and knocking him to the ground. She was then observed leaving the accident scene.

Deputies observed fresh scrapes to Kenneth’s hands, knuckles, knees and a large road rash-type scrape to his back. He also complained of chest pain. He identified Pamela as the operator of the vehicle that struck him.

Deputies went to the Kremnitzers’ home on Edmund Street and observed a red pickup truck parked in the driveway.

Deputies spoke with Pamela Kremnitzer and observed her to be under the influence of intoxicants, with slurred speech and trouble maintaining her balance.

She subsequently failed sobriety tests conducted at the Waterford Police Department.

Deputies reported she resisted being taken into custory, fighting as they attempted to handcuff her prior to transport, and struggling with them at a Racine hospital to which she was taken for a blood draw for an evidentiary chemical test of her blood.

Pamela Kremnitzer is charged with felony hit-and-run causing injury and first-degree recklessly endangering safety, as well as misdemeanor causing injury by operation of a vehicle while intoxicated, and two misdemeanor counts of resisting an officer.

She made an initial appearance in court May 28, when probable cause was found that she had committed the crimes with which she is charged.

She posted a $750 cash bond June 3, with conditions that she not drive, not consume alcohol and not have contact with her husband.

Before her release from the Racine County Jail, she paid for installation of a Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor bracelet, which constantly monitors for alcohol intake.

Pamela Kremnitzer was next due in court for a preliminary hearing June 6, when a judge was expected to consider whether the matter should proceed to trial.

Kenneth Kremnitzer also went to jail after the incident, because of a probation violation. He was then released.  At the time of the May 26 incident, he was on a one-year probation that prohibited him from consuming alcohol, as a result of pleading guilty to misdemeanor domestic abuse battery April 8.
