Town of Waterford Supervisor Lisa Jeschke is among 23 women to receive full scholarships to participate in this year’s six-week Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG) 13th Annual Public Policy Graduate Seminar program.

“We are pleased to offer this leadership training to women who are committed to continued careers in Wisconsin government,” said WWIG President Lisa Schultz.

Offered in cooperation with the La Follette Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the goal of WWIG’s Graduate Seminar is to give management and leadership training to women currently working in state and local government and to women working in the private sector who interact with government.

Jeschke was selected for her work with the state Department of Corrections and as a Town of Waterford supervisor.

Wisconsin Women in Government was founded in 1987 to celebrate and support the talented women who choose a career in government service.

“We had a terrific group of women once again this year, and this graduate course is a wonderful opportunity for them to gain management, networking and leadership skills,” said Schultz.
