Harp therapy concert to benefit TLC

The public is invited to “An Afternoon of Advent Peace,” being held Sunday, Dec. 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Community United Methodist Church, 455 Jefferson St., Waterford.

Harpist Tami Briggs will return for an afternoon of music that speaks to the heart, offering an oasis of relaxation and contemplation in which spirit will be nurtured.

“Especially during the holiday season, music often speaks to our hearts, helping us to relax and setting the tone for a peaceful holiday season,” Briggs said.

Briggs is a therapeutic harpist, education speaker, recording artist and author.

The Dec. 1 concert is being made possible by Integrity Funerals, Waterford, and Heart & Hands, Professional Massage, Rochester.

Tickets are $5. All proceeds will again benefit the Transitional Living Center (TLC), which provides transitional living for women and children. Last year’s concert in Waterford netted $2,000 for TLC.
