Enroll by March 22 for Community Day at Waterford High School

Openings are still available for Community Day, being held Friday, April 19. The day will offer members of the Waterford community the opportunity to be a high school student for a day.

On April 19, residents will be able to visit a number of different classes offered to students at Waterford Union High School.

Community Day will operate similar to the Parents’ Day held at the high school in September.  The major difference is that community members will be able to select specific classes from a list; whereas with Parents’ Day, the parent follows their child’s schedule.

On April 19, Community Day will begin at 7 a.m. with a breakfast for all attendees before they head to class. The day concludes at noon.  Each of the eight class periods will be 30 minutes in length and will allow each community member to attend a wide variety of classes.

Students will act as individual guides to escort participants from class to class.  There are courses from each department offered to all who attend.

If interested in attending, please contact Mrs. Connie Newton in the District Office at cnewton.waterforduhs.k12.wi.us or by calling  (262) 534-9059.  She will send a course selection form to everyone planning to attend.

Enrollment for this day is limited, and all selection forms are due back to the district by Friday, March 22.

Many members of the Waterford community have not been able to observe how the high school operates on a daily basis.  It is our hope that this Community Day will provide a close up, exciting glimpse into the daily life of Waterford Union High School, said Superintendent Keith Brandstetter.
