Second façade rendering unveiled for downtown

The Absolutely Waterford Main Street Program recently received design services for proposed façade improvements for another building in downtown Waterford.

Located at 228 E. Main St., the building is home to Top Dog Grooming and is viewed as a key building in Waterford’s efforts toward revitalizing the downtown.

In February, Absolutely Waterford released its first proposed façade rendering for the downtown, for Weber Accounting at 212 E. Main St.

Construction at Weber Accounting began earlier this week.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation’s (WEDC) Design Specialist, Joe Lawniczak, created the free renderings for façade improvements after meeting with the property owners to discuss ways to address business needs while considering the historic character of the building.

“The intent of the proposed design is to outline a long-term ‘vision’ for a building that will restore the lower façade to its original appearance while improving the visibility and aesthetic appeal of the business and honoring Waterford’s identity as a historic community,” explained Lawniczak.

Absolutely Waterford Executive Director, Michelle Bores-Stockton said the group is extremely thrilled with the services that Weber Accounting and Top Dog Grooming have received.

“We are equally excited about the future proposed façade rendering that we will be receiving shortly for Martini Mo’z,” she added.

Absolutely Waterford’s Design Committee and Ink Spot of Southeastern Wisconsin, have provided Weber Accounting and Top Dog Grooming each with a full color poster of the rendering to display in their front windows.

WEDC provides five façade renderings per year to Absolutely Waterford.
