Ricky P. McNeily was appointed Monday night to the Town of Waterford Sanitary District (WSD) Board of Commissioners.

He replaces Donna Block, who resigned July 30, citing personal health issues. Block had been appointed to the WSD Board in May 2011 to replace Myron Ciesielski, who had also resigned.

McNeily and two other candidates – Jim Filicetti, a certified public accountant who owns KJ Tax & Accounting in downtown Waterford and Ron Hochevar, who served on the WSD board in the early days of the Sanitary District – all submitted resumes for consideration.

All were then interviewed Aug. 6 at a special meeting of the Town Board

After the questioning, on a motion by Town Supervisor Tim Szeklinski, McNeily received the votes of three of five Town Board members: Szeklinski, Supervisor Tom Hincz and Chairman Robert Langmesser.

Supervisors Lisa Jeschke and Dale Gauerke voted no.

By state law, Langmesser is empowered to make the appointment. He did so Monday night. McNeily was then sworn in Tuesday by Town Clerk Tina Mayer.
