Annmarie C. Schulte, 37, of Muskego, pled guilty July 6 to two counts of felony child sexploitation in Waukesha County Court.

Annmarie C. Schulte

Schulte was originally charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault and two counts exploitation of a child in October 2011 after allegedly emailing explicit pictures and video of her sexually assaulting a 4-year-old child to an individual she had met online.

She pled not guilty on all counts at her preliminary hearing Oct. 12 in Waukesha County Court.

But the two counts of sexual assault were dropped Friday when Schulte pled guilty to the lesser charges of child sexploitation, which carry a maximum sentence of 40 years in jail and a fine up to $100,000 for each conviction.

Schulte grew up in Wind Lake, attended Drought Elementary School in Franksville and graduated from Waterford Union High School.

Her husband reported the abuse to police after seeing suspicious emails on her email account. Court records show that Schulte’s husband filed for divorce in February of this year.

According to the criminal complaint, Schulte met a man on a fetish website who encouraged her to take sexual pictures of several underage females and send them to him.

Though the man had requested more pictures of the other girls, he said he first wanted to focus on a then 4-year-old girl, according to the criminal complaint.

Schulte then sent the man pictures and webcam videos of a sexual nature, including those showing her assaulting the girl.

Schulte’s bond was revoked last week as a result of the plea and she was taken into custody.

A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered. Schulte is next scheduled to appear Sept. 21 in Waukesha County Court for sentencing.
