Citing “current and ongoing health problems,” commissioner Donna Block resigned from the Town of Waterford Sanitary District (WSD) board Tuesday.

Her resignation was accepted Wednesday morning by Town Chairman Robert Langmesser.

Block, the WSD treasurer, was appointed in May 2011 by Langmesser, filling a vacancy left by the resignation of Myron Ciesielski.

Block had told WSD commissioners at their July 25 meeting that she had surgery scheduled later this month, and expected it would take at least a month for her to recuperate.

“I resigned due to health issues which I really don’t want to go into for reasons of privacy,” Block further said Aug. 1 via email.
