The Greater Union Grove Area Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Unco Industries, Inc.
Tom Chapman, CEO of the company, has been in the worm farming business for more than 37 years.
He started out raising red worms for bait. The business has now evolved into producing a system that allows the company to cultivate night crawlers for fishing bait and vermicomposting; earthworm castings for organic fertilizer; and worm cocoons for gardeners to replenish worms in their soil.
Unco produces and sells castings and worms commercially, along with providing business opportunities through use of the Unco system for people interested in worm farming.
