Kansasville Fire Chief Scott Remer is requesting a meeting with Conserv FS officials in June’s Town Board meeting after learning his agency was never notified of all the details regarding its expansion of anhydrous ammonia.

The details emerged at the Town of Dover Board meeting May 13 when citizen Deborah Krogh brought it to the chief’s attention.

“It would be nice to see the plan you have with Conserv FS and invite him to come to the meeting and talk about the plan you have with them,” Krogh said.

Conserv FS officials stated at the Planning Commission hearing April 10 they would contact the Fire Department in regards to updating its plans due to an additional two 30,000 gallon tanks on the Beaumont property.

“As far as Conserv FS contacting us, we have not heard anything from them,” Remer said. “We will be contacting them.”

Remer acknowledged the Fire Department was not invited to attend the Planning Commission meeting while Lembcke mentioned one of the conditions given by Conserv FS was to contact the Department upon approval.

“This is a very serious matter and we will need to bring them back in,” Lembcke said.
