Drop off unused medicines for free disposal

A free medicine collection will be held Thursday, April 25, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Raymond Town Hall, 2255 S. 76th St.

All Racine County residents are invited to drop off any outdated or unused medicine that evening, including both over-the-counter and prescription medications.

While you’re there, meet Friday, a county K9 officer, and his handler, Dep. Ed Drewitz, who will give a presentation from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. about Friday’s unique skills, followed by a live drug-find demonstration by Friday in action.

The collection eventt is sponsored by the Raymond Neighborhood Watch Committee, Western Racine County Health Department, and the Racine County Sheriff’s Department will sponsor a free medication collection.

Residents are asked to drop off unneeded medication in original bottles, with
patient name crossed out. The name of the medication should still be visible.

Do not bring bio-hazardous material or needles/syringes.

The drop off is free and confidential and requires no pre-registration.

Participants will not need to leave their cars to turn in items for disposal. There will be law enforcement present to ensure the safe collection and destruction of all medication.

This program will help protect your health and protect our community and the environment.
