New playground at Union Grove Elementary School serves students with special needs

A new playground was constructed at Union Grove Elementary School specifically designed to serve children with special needs.

The new playground features equipment built lower to the ground with the surface beneath it made of a specialized padded material. A sidewalk around the playground is friendly for students who need a wheelchair or walker.

While other students may use the new playground, the focus is on serving special needs students. The Union Grove Lions Club generously helped with the cost to make the project possible.
