Theater, city to host four shows on Saturdays in August

The Plaza Theater has again teamed up with the City of Burlington to present a series of four drive-in movies on Saturday nights in August.

The series begins Aug. 7 with a showing of “Jumanji – Welcome to the Jungle.”

The movies are free and will be shown on a giant inflatable screen beginning at 9 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to Reineman’s True Value Hardware, 417 Milwaukee Ave., in downtown Burlington.

People can watch the movies from their cars or lawn chairs as they listen to the audio broadcast on 105.7 FM.

Restrooms and concessions will be available at the Plaza Theater, 448 Milwaukee Ave.

The remainder of the series schedule features “Stuart Little” on Aug. 14; “The Karate Kid 2010” on Aug. 21; and “Spiderman Homecoming” on Aug. 28.

In the event of inclement weather, the movies may be moved indoors to the Plaza Theater.
